Cosmetic Fillers are used to fill in the lines and wrinkles of the face, neck, chest and the materials are made from naturally occurring substances in the human body. Another solution used to add definition and volume to the lips is Restylane. Dr. Schreiber currently uses the following fillers: Restylane, Radiesse, Juvederm, Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus, and Perlane. Filler procedures typically have little downtime and discomfort and are performed at our office by Dr. Schreiber not a nurse or physicians’ assistant.
Reasons for considering a filler treatment:
Large facial wrinkles between the eyes
Deep lines next to mouth
Loss of volume of the lips
Fillers – General Procedure
In most cases our patients are able to go right back to normal activity including work after receiving a filler treatment. It usually takes approximately 30 minutes to have a filler treatment with minimal discomfort. Dr. Schreiber will apply topical numbing cream to the areas being treated and occasionally will recommend a dental block for complete numbness.
Dr. Schreiber can also inject fillers with other cosmetic surgery procedures at Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, Maryland and at the SurgiCenter of Baltimore in Owings Mills, Maryland. Both of these facilities are easily accessible from Towson, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Pikesville, Ruxton, Lutherville, Howard County, Annapolis, and Washington D.C.

Fillers – Recovery
Recovery takes about 1-2 hours and may involve minimal redness and slight bruising. Any discomfort is treated with Tylenol or ibuprofen. Ice is helpful to prevent any bruising and to assist with discomfort. You may exercise the same day and go back to work immediately.
